THERMOCOUPLE EXTENSION WIRE

Application

Thermocouples are now widely used in every industrial field from chemicals, petrochemicals, metals, ceramics and electronics to aerospace. Although it is theoretically ideal to have a thermocouple connected directly to the instrument, long distance between them often makes the cost prohibitive and causes some troubles in the circuit. It is therefore desirable to use extension or compensating cables that have same or similar EMF characteristics to those of thermocouples. It is also necessary to change insulation cover materials according to the operating conditions.
