uMonitor is a windows based application designed for
instrumentation projects that require real-time monitoring of data. With
proper configuration, uMonitor has been successfully used for
instrumentation projects including multistory buildings, tunnels, deep
excavations, railways, subway systems, airports, dams and hydroelectric
schemes. |

Data Acquisition |
|
uMonitor is primarily designed for use with Campbell Scientifics'
dataloggers. Used in conjunction with Loggernet,
it polls up to 12 dataloggers and retrieves sensor data unattended,
according to user specified schedule. |

Data Processing |
|
Raw data from up to 200 sensors per logger are processed and stored
automatically in a database that is compatible with Microsoft's Access
program. |

Real-Time Graphical
Display |

After processing, the
current readings of the sensors are displayed over images of site in plan
view, section view, or actual photograph. |
The sensor readings
are showed in appropriate locations, color-coded for alarm status, and with
instant access to trend plots for past five days. |
Multiple displays
can be tiled to allow the user to check entire site at a glance and to see
where activity is occurring. |

Alarm Checking |
|
Up to three alarm thresholds can be assigned to
each sensor. While running in real-time mode, uMonitor will test readings
from each sensor against the alarm limits and display the readings in green,
blue, amber, and red accordingly. In addition, when triggered, an alarm
warning dialogue will be pop-up, displaying the time, the alarm level, the
sensor reference, and the sensor reading. These alarms can be alert via the
PC speakers, via emails or via the (optional) mobile phone's SMS.

Historical Data
Analysis |
|
uMonitor comes complete with
facilities to graph and to replay historical data for reporting and post
analysis. The data can be displayed in trend graphs, in profile plots, or in
plan view or section view similar to the real-time display.
